A service of Holy Communion to celebrate the patronal day of St John the Baptist. A setting of the mass and anthem provided by the Festival Singers,with organist Robert Green. After refreshments in the church there will be a short organ recital.

ABOUT ROBERT GREEN
Robert has held many posts in his career as a conductor, organist, harpsichordist and singer. He has been Assistant Organist at Lichfield and Hereford cathedrals where his duties included that of Accompanist to the Three Choirs Festival. He was also for many years Conductor of Herefordshire Orchestral Society which still included amongst its members some former pupils of Elgar, one of whom played one of the composer’s instruments which she eventually donated to the Birthplace Trust, the charity which administers the Birthplace and associated Education Centre.
He has retired from the posts of Senior Examiner for the University of Oxford Local Examinations in A level Music, Headship of the Music Department at Ripon Grammar School, where he was also senior Boarding Master, Lay Clerk at Ripon Cathedral and Deputy Conductor of Ripon Choral Society.
He lives in Herefordshire where he restores early keyboard instruments and continues to give recitals in cathedrals, abbeys and churches throughout the country.
