About the Chris Coull Jazz Band
The Chris Coull Quintet featuring Imogen Ryall on vocals and international band leader and trumpeter Chris Coull. Based in Brighton, this dynamic four piece provide authentic reimaginings of jazz’s golden age. The roaring twenties, 30s swing and 40s bop shine through their extensive repertoire featuring songs made famous by Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Glen Miller to name just a few.
Chris Coull is a bandleader and trumpeter who has played and led throughout the world in places as far flung as America, The Middle East as well as his native UK. Soft and thoughtful, his approach takes inspiration from the more introspective playing of Chet Baker and Miles Davis.
